We finished the enclosure for our remotely composting toilet tank and got it all insulated for winter. We have not started our interior insulation project yet, as we have some holes to fill from the installation of the plumbing and electrical. Thisis this weeks project. Not alot to report but, a very important job none the less!

Wildlife Habitat
Our winter watering systems are fully operational and weatherised. We are taking donations now of wild bird seed, cash to purchase salt licks, We spend most of our mornings checking on our feeders and waterers to make sure they arent frozen over and everything is working smoothly.
Fundraising Needs
Currently in need of $385 to continue to maintain the watering system for the winter and provide seed for birds. As always we are seeking donations of materials, seed, cash, time for spring! We have alot of projects on our plate!!

We are deeply saddened by the events in New York ,where Peanut the Squirrel, a social media sensation, was murdered this week by law enforcement in his own home.While some people may think.,it is just a squirrel; two seperate issues stick out for me. First, the whole incident was brought to the attention of authorities after Peanuts caretaker engaged in a disagreement with someone over keeping the squirrel on social media. Social Media has allowed people to be nasty with little consequence. With that in mind, take care in what you share! Secondly, How far is the government willing to go, that they come into your home, and murder your pets? With all the real crimes and turmoil to invest time, money and effort into, they choose to exert control over a wildlife sanctuary and a pet squirrel, while trampling the rights of an everyday American.
