Fundraising Needs

Wildlife Habitat

As the heat of summer settles across the land, our days are full—but so is the air, teeming with birdsong, buzzing bees, and the rustle of life in the brush. This season, we’ve been busy tending to our ongoing responsibilities, but always with a careful eye toward the delicate balance of our surrounding wildlife habitat.

Seasonal Work with a Purpose

Summer tasks here are never just about upkeep—they're about stewardship. Whether it’s mowing walking paths to keep access safe and clear, reinforcing fencing, managing invasive species, or preparing our soil for future planting, every action we take is done in harmony with the habitat we’re committed to protecting.

We intentionally:

  • Time our maintenance to avoid peak wildlife activity (early mornings and evenings are best for both humans and animals).

  • Leave native plants and wildflower corridors intact for pollinators and beneficial insects.

  • Keep fresh water sources accessible for birds, deer, and small mammals, especially during hot spells.

  • Build brush piles and habitat corners to provide safe cover for reptiles, amphibians, and ground-nesting species.

Our Ongoing Commitment to Conservation

Each decision on the land is guided by a deep respect for the wild things who share it. We're not just maintaining property—we're maintaining promise. One that supports biodiversity, builds soil health, and honors the seasonal rhythms that have shaped this place long before we arrived.

This summer, we encourage our visitors, supporters, and neighbors to do the same: slow down, look closer, and consider what you can preserve, even as you plant or prune. A simple shift in how we "work the land" can create a huge shift in what is able to thrive.

Thank you for walking alongside us in this effort. We’re grateful to be part of a community that values sustainability, education, and respectful land stewardship.

We have some big plans!

Help Us Grow: Support Summer Conservation & Youth Programs
This summer, we’re expanding our conservation efforts and launching new educational programs for children—including a Summer Vacation Nature Program and a hands-on After-School Enrichment Series focused on sustainability, wildlife, and land stewardship.

Your donation fuels both our boots-on-the-ground habitat work and the vital education that shapes future caretakers of the Earth.

🌱 Click the “Donate” button to contribute directly, or shop through our online store—every purchase helps fund our mission.

Together, we can protect the land and plant seeds of knowledge in the next generation.

🌍 Every donation plants a seed of hope! 💚

Calls to Action

🌿 Big Beautiful Bill Signed Into Law: What It Means for Farming, Conservation & Rural Life

On July 5, 2025, President Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill into law—a sweeping package packed with major wins for farmers, ranchers, conservationists, and rural tourism communities. Here's how it benefits your land, your business, and your future:

🌾 Farming & Agriculture: Stronger Support Than Ever

  • Expanded Farm Safety Net
More support through Price Loss Coverage (PLC) and Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC)—especially helpful for 2025 planting decisions.

  • Improved Crop Insurance & Commodity Price Floors
Higher reference prices for crops like corn, soybeans, and wheat.

  • Equipment Tax Breaks
Full expensing of tractors, tools, fencing, and farm infrastructure—boosting reinvestment and growth.

  • Livestock & Timber Relief
New compensation for livestock loss from predators and expanded grazing relief in drought-affected regions.
U.S. Forest Service will now issue 40 long-term logging contracts to promote timber industry sustainability.

🌱 Conservation & Sustainability: Long-Term Wins

  • Biofuel & Clean Fuel Tax Incentives
More credits for renewable fuel producers, helping farms shift toward sustainability.

  • Water & Irrigation Projects
Over $1 billion toward modernizing water systems—critical for farming in drought-prone areas.

  • Renewable Energy Support
Continued funding for solar, wind, and off-grid power through rural development programs.

🏞️ Agritourism & Rural Development: Boosted Investment

  • Tourism & Local Business Growth
Expanded rural business grants and trade promotion programs to grow farm-to-table operations and eco-tourism.

  • Revenue Sharing for Communities
25% of renewable energy lease revenue now goes to local governments for rural infrastructure and tourism improvement.

💵 Tax & Nonprofit Provisions: Financial Relief with Purpose

  • Permanent Tax Certainty
Farmers and rural business owners can now plan long-term with made-permanent tax deductions and estate relief.

  • Nonprofit Land & Education Programs
Conservation and educational nonprofits (like ours!) benefit from enhanced tax incentives and program stability.

✅ Why It Matters to You

Whether you’re planting, preserving, or hosting visitors on your land, this bill creates real opportunities. It's designed to uplift the rural backbone of America—strengthening sustainability, profitability, and community resilience for the years ahead.
